FSD v14 Lite, built for older HW3 hardware, is now rolling out broadly across the US and Canada — bringing HW3 owners, who had waited 18 months for a major update, a first taste of HW4-caliber features like parking, pulling forward, and reversing.

FSD v14 Lite "distills" the intelligence of the HW4 v14 stack into a lighter build for HW3 vehicles, which have far more limited onboard compute.

Per Tesla community trackers, the rollout widened across the US and Canada on July 28, with outlets like Drive Tesla Canada and Tesla North separately confirming the deployment has moved beyond early testers.

New features include parking, pulling forward and reversing, customizable Arrival Options, Speed Profiles for city driving, a dedicated Self-Driving app, a Start Self-Driving button that can engage from Park without a brake confirmation, and Self-Driving Streaks.

Tesla has said it plans to extend v14 Lite to international markets following the US rollout, though at a different pace by region. With HW3 vehicles making up a large share of Tesla's installed fleet, the wider rollout answers a long wait for owners of older hardware.
