Tesla Australia cuts Model 3/Y prices by up to A$4,050 after Cybertruck cancellation

Oct 26, 2026 · Original Drive Tesla Canada

Two days after cancelling Australian and New Zealand Cybertruck reservations, Tesla is discounting Model 3 and Model Y inventory in Australia through year-end — and offering affected reservation holders a free year of FSD.

Tesla Australia is discounting eligible new and demo inventory, with orders and delivery required by Dec. 31, 2026. The Model 3 Performance gets the largest cut at A$4,050, versus A$2,750 for Premium RWD and A$3,100 for Premium Long Range RWD. Model Y discounts range from A$2,950 (Premium RWD) to A$3,750 (Model Y L Premium AWD).

A trade-in bonus of up to A$2,000 on eligible Model 3 and Model Y Premium and Performance purchases can be combined with other offers.

The backdrop is Tesla dropping Cybertruck plans for Australia and New Zealand. On Oct. 23 it told reservation holders their orders would be cancelled and fully refunded, and as compensation it is offering a one-year FSD (Supervised) subscription — normally A$149 a month, worth A$1,788 — with a new Model 3 or Model Y order.
